With the onset of new media, the phenomenon of social media has seem to take on a life of its own. The advent of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Istagram has in many ways revolutionized not only information sharing but also social culture. In my estimation Video Blogs (Vlogs) has proved to be one of the most influential mediums within social media. With YouTube at the forefront  spearheading the way forward. Through my research project I aim to answer the following questions:

• What is the origins of Vlogs, YouTube? 
• What is the appeal of Vlogs, YouTube
• What is the impact of Vlogs, YouTube?
• What is the future of Vlogs, YouTube?
